A Potential QB Rule Change For The League

Image
I saw something on twitter recently that was the most electric thing I have ever seen. It's not often I see an idea for fantasy football that's absolutely genius, but this is one of them. This is what came across my desk.     This might be the single greatest fantasy football idea that I have seen. As I've done my research I have discovered that this is a very simple addition to any fantasy league. Any QB that makes a tackle is worth 100 points.     I can see this play out in any many scenarios. This first one I think of is on a tough bye week. "My good QB is on a bye this week so I'm gonna throw Joe Flacco in there and I hope he gets a tackle." This just sounds like pure electricity to me.      I highly recommend this to any fantasy league and I will be bringing this to the table to possibly even add this to the league this year.

Ranking Fantasy Football Team Names

Now that the season is off to a hot start, it's time to rank everyone's team solely based on their name. There is a lot of good names this year, so it should be a good one. I personally am very bad at these kind of names, so naturally I took to chat gpt for this.  Here are the names it came up with for the players on my team: Mahomes -Cooked – A play combining “Mahomes” and “Cook” ( James Cook ). Sounds like a cooking show—great for flexing your QBs and RBs! 2. Ridley Me This – A playful pun using Calvin Ridley ’s name, great for a team that wants a sly wink. 3. Lamar the Merrier – “The more the merrier,” but with your MVP QB 4. Williams & Cooked – Double RB combo ( Kyren Williams + James Cook) mashed into a hilarious team name. 5. Sutton Impact – A fun twist on “sudden impact” using Courtland Sutton ’s name. 6. Pickens and Grinning – “Picking” on opponents and always smiling (via George Pickens )—cute and confident! 7. Mahomes Alone – A nod to the classic movie...

Week 1 Recap / Week 2 Picks & Preview

Image
What a hot start to the football season . A lot of surprising things in week one . As it turns out, Dan Campbell isn't actually that good as the Lions head coach (I had that take years ago), the cowboys may actually not be that bad, and the Chiefs seemed to have finally taken a big step back. Let's begin with the week 1 recap. Week 1      I have some very unfortunate news to share. I went 1-5 this week on picks. In fact, the only pick I got right is myself. I guess it's just because of how good my team is. Due to it being week 1, those picks don't count against my record. Very unfortunate for the haters (Sam). Let's look at what happened. The first of many wins for my dynasty. Private Joe has a pretty good team assembled thanks to the Eagles , but not good enough for this team. Lamar Jackson and Mahomes are going to lead me to a third championship. This is a game no one quite expected. Looking at Jake's team now, it's actually not that good of ...

Week 1 Fantasy Preview and Rankings

Image
As we begin our dive into the NFL season . It's is time for the week 1 fantasy preview of this glorious new dynasty league . I will keep a running tally of my predictions and see how good I am. Let's break down this first matchup. This first week for me is clearly a tune up game. I am going to absolutely destroy Joe here. I will have to beat Joe respectfully, however. Private Joe is currently fighting for our freedom and a lot of his team was auto-drafted. Joe does have some good players that have the potential to go off. He's got Hurts , Saquon , Kamara , and AJ Brown . The problem with his team is that is stops there. I have 2 great QBs ready to steal week 1. Pick: RJ This is a funny matchup for week 1. This is Jake's second season in the league and Jack's first year in the league. For those of you that need to catch up on the current state of the league, Jake is the one that attempted to give Jack terrible drafting advice. Fortunately for Jake, Jack didn...

The Draft is Finally Complete

Image
After a long grueling week, the draft is finally over. Many people gave up and decided to put their teams on auto-draft . Not me. I carefully calculated who the 14th bench player on my team is. Lets take a look at my glorious team.     Let's talk about some of my great sleepers. My first one is LeQuint Allen . Casual fans might think that he's just a random RB deep down the depth chart on the Jags , but he actually might play in the slot this year. A bright future ahead of him.      I also tried to stack a bunch of young TEs because of our league rules. Since TEs are 1.5 ppr , I'm hoping one of them will hit it big later in their careers and turn into prime Travis Kelce . Speaking of Kelce, I drafted the other Chiefs TE that they resigned to a multi year deal because I think he's going to retire soon.     The one thing I am slightly concerned about is my lack of backup QBs. I got lost in the sauce when it comes to finding young s...
