Week 1 Fantasy Preview and Rankings

As we begin our dive into the NFL season. It's is time for the week 1 fantasy preview of this glorious new dynasty league. I will keep a running tally of my predictions and see how good I am.

Let's break down this first matchup. This first week for me is clearly a tune up game. I am going to absolutely destroy Joe here. I will have to beat Joe respectfully, however. Private Joe is currently fighting for our freedom and a lot of his team was auto-drafted. Joe does have some good players that have the potential to go off. He's got Hurts, Saquon, Kamara, and AJ Brown. The problem with his team is that is stops there. I have 2 great QBs ready to steal week 1.
Pick: RJ

This is a funny matchup for week 1. This is Jake's second season in the league and Jack's first year in the league. For those of you that need to catch up on the current state of the league, Jake is the one that attempted to give Jack terrible drafting advice. Fortunately for Jake, Jack didn't need advice. He drafted one of the worst dynasty teams I have ever seen. CMC and Ja' Marr Chase are the only players of note. Jake has Bo Nix, Bijan, and Kyler. That should bring Jake the win here.
Pick: Jake

This is a matchup between Ryan and Coach Doug. Ryan automatically gets the leg up with his team name. The funniest part about that name? Brock Bowers isn't even on Ryan's team. The interesting part is neither of these teams have what you would call "star power". Doug has Gibbs, but that's the only star player in this matchup. I think Ryan will pull this win out with the help of his QB combo of Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. Doug has Cam Ward though so we shall see.
Pick: Ryan

A matchup of 2 original teams here. Joe is known for consistently being good and Sam is known for not having good drafts. This appears to be the case again this year. Joe had a great draft. He was able to draft Jeanty, Hampton, and St. Brown. The only star I can find on Sam's team is Bucky Irving. Sam is going to struggle to win a single game this season for one reason, he only has 1 QB on his roster. He made the mistake of drafting Kirk Cousins. Classic Sam
Pick: Joe

This is a funny matchup if you know the context. Ryan 2 (He is Ryan 2 because his name is also Ryan and he joined the league later) won the league last year off of the back of Alex. Has Alex's name implies, he tried to build a super team similar to a team Joe had one year. He traded all of his good draft picks to Ryan 2 in an attempt to pull it off. Alex failed miserably and it accidentally created a different super team in Ryan 2 the next season. Alex should be able to get some payback this week. Ryan 2's draft seems to be more building for the future instead of this year. If Ryan 2 wins this week, it is because of Nabers and Lamb (Lamb is better than Jefferson but that's for another time). Alex didn't have the best draft, but he has a better team than Ryan 2 currently. Jayden Daniels and Achane should be able to get him the win.
Pick: Alex

This is the matchup of the minds. Jared has been the mastermind of the league. Jared will be the person to draft the one obscure college guy that ends up going off his rookie year in the NFL. Stephen has also always had a good fantasy football brain. He's also one of the most unluckiest players in fantasy I have ever seen. He's always come so close to winning it all, but has never gotten over the hump (couldn't be me). Good thing for Stephen is that Jared didn't draft to win this season. The only star player I've seen on Jared's team is Brock Bowers. You could make the argument for Jordan Love, Jonathan Taylor, Brian Thomas, and Tua, but they're coming in with too many question marks this season. Stephen has a team of Josh Jacobs, Chase Brown, Justin Jefferson, and Garrett Wilson. I also want Stephen to win because Jared drafted 3 kickers. Who takes 3 kickers? What's he building in there?
Pick: Stephen

That's all I have for now. I would like to point out that there's a lot of question marks in week 1. So if my picks are bad it is because it's week 1 and anything can happen and my picks shouldn't count. If my picks are good, it is because I am very good at what I do. Either way I win. I will leave you with my current rankings of the teams in the league.
  1. RJ (2 time champion)
  2. Joe (1 time champion)
  3. Jake
  4. Private Joe (1 time champion)
  5. Stephen
  6. Jared (3 time champion)
  7. Coach Doug
  8. Alex
  9. Ryan
  10. Sam
  11. Ryan 2 (current champion)
  12. Jack
A couple of things to note on this rankings list. First off, as I went through all the teams, I have severely disrespected private Joe's team. He actually has a pretty good team that should make the playoffs. The second thing is that that is not all the championships I think there has been more. This league has been around for close to 10 years and has been moved to different apps multiple times, so I don't remember all of the winners.
