Week 2 Recap / Week 3 Preview

This NFL season is starting to take shape. Good teams and bad teams are starting to separate themselves. Burrow is down for the count and the Chiefs season is officially over. Let's hurry up and start the week 2 recap before the Lions put up any more points on the Bears.

Week 2

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I went 4-2 in picks this week. Because of this, I am officially announcing that the picks now count. It's also a sad day for the haters because it's only going to get easier to pick.

Yes, another great win by me here, but it's not what this matchup was about this week. Everyone currently reading this needs to take a moment of silence for Ryan's season. With Joe Burrow out for 3 months, it's now time to go into a full rebuild. All hope is lost.

Jake now has a tough season ahead of him. It's very hard to come out of a 0-2 hole and still have a successful season. Although Joe won this game, I would like to point out that he shouldn't be too happy about it. Joe did not win this game, Jake lost this game. Actually to be more specific, Derrick Henry lost this game.

It's time to put a label on Jack's team. I am officially labeling Jack has the fraud team of this year. Jack had a terrible draft, and yet luck is going to deliver him a championship in his first year isn't he? He didn't really have that good of a week if you dive into the numbers. Ja'Marr Chase won him the week with 37 points. Private Joe also had 2 players leave the game with injuries. It's about time to put Jack on undefeated watch with the luck he's bringing to the table.

Yes, coach Doug's team is not good and his rookies have failed him, but we need to focus on Sam's team. It's not normally you have 2 fraud teams in the same season. Jared Goff and his kicker is what delivered him the victory this week. There's no way I don't lose to him whenever we play each other now.

It might be time to announce the dynasty of Jared to be over. His team really dropped the ball this week and his team is showing some major holes. All the holes that we originally thought about his team have appeared this week. Alex also may have a problem later in the season with his team. His team kind of relies on Travis Hunter and it looks like he's leaning more into his role on defense instead of receiver.

Stephen's team had a rough week, but he should be able to bounce back. His team has the potential to bounce back from the 0-2 start if his players end up playing to the level that they're supposed to be playing at. Ryan 2 might have another championship team on his hands. He used to have a hole at the RB position, but due to injuries on the Vikings and depth chart changes on the Giants, that hole may have been fixed.

Just so everyone is clear, my picks are officially counting and I am currently 4-2. I expect to increase my winning percentage even more after this easy week.

This is going to be a matchup of pure dominance. Coach Doug doesn't have a second QB to start thanks to the injury of Purdy and he currently is starting a RB that's projected 5 points. It's best we stop talking about this matchup and talk about ones that will actually be interesting.
Pick: RJ

This is the perfect get right game for Jake here. Private Joe has a RB on the IR and Justin Fields has a concussion, so who knows how good he's going to be this week. Jake should win as long as Henry comes back into his "king" status. Jake's one downfall is that his players do have some tough matchups, but I think Private Joe has too many holes this week.
Pick: Jake

Here's the deal. I could tell you all the problems with this matchup. I could tell you about how one of Jack's 30 year old RBs landed on the IR, I could tell you that almost every one of Jack's players has a bad defensive matchup, but none of that matters. All of Joe's players are going to magically fail him and have a bad week. Jack's kicker will put up 35 points and he will win this week.
Pick: Jack

Another classic fraud game for Sam here. Without Joe Burrow, all Ryan can do is just sit there and watch as Sam's fraud team slips away with a victory. Speaking of Sam's team, his team name reminded me of something I saw on twitter. Have you seen Kennan Allen's shoulders? They're nuts because of his past injuries. If you google "Keenan Allen shoulder" it pops up take a look.
Pick: Sam

This should be a get right game for Stephen here. Alex has two big holes in his roster for this week. He is currently starting Tyrone Tracy, who appears to be in a committee now. Travis Hunter is also his other problem. If he plays more on defense, his offensive production will sink. Stephen should win this week, but he might have a tough hill to climb with his team. Garrett Wilson needs to prove himself for Stephen to be successful this year.
Pick: Stephen

What a matchup here. Two of the best teams in the league going at each other. Because I just talked smack on Jared's team a second ago, it now appears that he is going to win this week. Ryan 2 has some tough matchups this week. Jared has a chance to make a statement here. Jared has 3 players that concern me. Breece Hall, Brian Thomas, and Marvin Harrison. All 3 haven't performed up to their caliber yet this year. Jared needs these players to be successful.
Pick: Jared

That's all I have for this week. I haven't had as much free time as of late, but I should be able to write more in the future. I will leave you all with the updated rankings. I have decided that I will no longer put Sam last, but let it be known I still don't think he's that good.

1. RJ
2. Jack (fraud)
3. Ryan 2
4. Jared
5. Sam (fraud)
6. Alex
7. Jake
8. Joe
