NFL Players That Just Retired That You Thought Already Retired

Every year, there's a list of NFL players that have officially retired. Some of those people on that list always feel like they are super old and names you haven't heard of in a long time. Here is the list for this year: — LB CJ Mosleyffew — QB Derek Carr — WR Julio Jones — CB Patrick Peterson — G Zack Martin — C Frank Ragnow — OT Tyron Smith — OT Terron Armstead — OT Ryan Ramczyk — OT Jason Peters — DE Brandon Graham — DE Sam Hubbard — C David Andrews — S Micah Hyde — K Mason Crosby — C Mitch Morse — DT Michael Pierce — LB/S Keanu Neal — DE John Cominsky — QB Jordan Travis — WR Chris Conley     Let's start with obvious one, Julio Jones. If you would have told me that Julio retired 4 years ago, I would have believed you. Last I remember, he just signed with the Titans. That is where receivers go to die, but I had no clue he was still playing. Was he on the Titans the entire time?     Same argument goes for Mason Crosby. I thought Crosby got cut o...

The Lakers Sale Is A Sign The NBA Is Failing

Image
Recently, the famous Buss family sold the Lakers for $10 Billion. It is the biggest sale in USA history. That should be a good thing right? Wrong.     First off, I saw a tweet that said that the Buss family technically lost money on this deal, so that's the first big red flag to kick this off. Second, if you look at this top ten list, there's a lot of NBA teams that are on this list. The problem? Why are all these owners selling their teams? It's not just business people constantly trying to make a profit.      Michael Jordan sold his stake in the Hornets. The greatest basketball player of all time who has been dedicated to growing the game decided to sell his team. The worst one on the list? The Mavericks. You could have made the argument that Mark Cuban was the NBA owner who was the biggest superfan of the team that he owns. He sold his team and the new owner now appears to be trying and force a move.     The should be a big warn...

Fantasy Football Is Getting Too Hard (We Have A RB Issue)

I have loved fantasy football for many years. I am a two time champion in my main league and consistently stay competitive. As I am doing my mock drafts this year (full PPR), I have noticed a sad issue this year. Fantasy is getting increasingly harder because RBs just don't seem to matter anymore.     Too many teams are using a multiple RB committee in today's football. Sure, it's great for teams and is proven to benefit them on the field as well as keeping more players healthy, but we need to talk about what really matters, the fantasy football players.     The RB committee issue continues to grow each year and this year it's even worse than ever. According to my calculations, there is only about 8 teams that aren't using a RB committee and that's just based on the depth chart and their usage last year. Here are the names I came up with for you fantasy football sickos like me: Saquon Bijan Jeanty CMC Josh Jacobs Kyren Williams James Cook   ...

I'm Officially Old (My Knee Hurts)

I hate to say it, but at the ripe age of 26 I would like to declare I am old. It all began around 3 years ago. As a matter of fact, it's about the same time I had a kid. One day, I woke up and me knee was in excruciating pain. I had no clue what I had did to it, I just assumed I slept in a weird position or something. The problem with that is my knee is that it didn't just go away in a day or two, it took MONTHS to recover. I was legit struggling to walk down stairs for a while there.  Then one day I just woke up and the pain was gone. I thought the war was over. I was wrong.     Now once and a while my knee will hurt for about a day and then just magically go away. For months I didn't know why, then I had a Eureka moment. I am officially old. I have discovered that my knee hurts when it rains/storms. I am officially old. It makes sense though, there has been other signs. When I here the new slang I think it's dumb, I now think waking up early is bett...

Who Will Be The Next Owner Of The Cardinals?

Rumors have been swirling for years that the Dewitt family is planning on selling the Cardinals. That would be a valid reason why they refuse to spend money (but that's for another day). The rumor is they are going to sell when the great lockout of 2026 is over. I have compiled a list of people from St. Louis and Missouri that I think could buy the Cardinals. The Taylor Family - $19 Billion The Taylor family has the Enterprise Rent-A-Car fortune. The third generation of the family, Chrissy Taylor, is currently the CEO and is one of the owners of the MLS team in St. Louis. They have already shown interest in STL sports and they might have a chance to continue the Cardinal tradition. The Kemper Family - Unknown Everyone knows the Kemper family. Do you remember Erin from The Office? She is apart of that family. What you probably didn't know is that her family owns the Commerce Bank empire. I couldn't find an exact number of their net worth, but I assume it's an insan...

The Dodgers Hurt Their Pitchers

Image
News came out yesterday that yet another Dodgers pitcher has now made it to the injured list.     It's time we discuss the fact that the Dodgers continue to injure their pitchers somehow. According to ESPN, the Dodgers have had 17 pitchers injured this year. It's not just this year, it's bad trend that has continued without being noticed by most fans.     I personally blame the Dodgers' pitching coaches and not the trainers. The Dodgers pride themselves in taking pitching projects or older veterans and "saving them" and reviving their careers. Off of the top of my head, it worked with Shelby Miller and Lance Lynn, but those are the only two that I know of that had worked.      If you're trying to count the number of pitchers where it doesn't work and they get injured, there's too many to count. If you want to keep the trend of former Cardinals, Alex Reyes hasn't gotten to throw one pitch for them. The real example though is all of ...

Is St. Louis Preparing For The Bengals? Should Fans Want Them?

Image
Being from St. Louis, ever since the Rams have left any hint of a new team returning absolutely blows up. The 2 most popular ones I can remember was the Chiefs changing their name to the "Missouri Chiefs" and playing some games in St. Louis and the Chargers moving to St. Louis because the owners private jet was spotted in St. Louis one time. Well, there's a new rumor that has picked up steam in the St. Louis area. I would like to be the first to welcome Joe Burrow and the rest of the St. Louis Bengals.     So to catch everyone up, the Bengals rent their stadium from the city of Cincinnati and their lease is expiring soon. The Bengals owner has already come out and said that if they don't get exactly what they want in the new lease, they are leaving. That immediately went VIRAL in the 314. Football fans in St. Louis are going through the first stages of excitement. People online are already saying "Oh my god it's happening" without really any real e...
