A New Era In Fantasy

 A Format Change

I have been in the same fantasy football league since 2016 with the same group of friends. Not only did we create a dynasty when it comes to rec league basketball, but we would dive into the analytics of fantasy football. We have had the same format for years, a keeper league with full PPR and instead of a TE spot we had a TE/WR spot. It's always been electric, but this year we decided to take it to the next level. This year we are switching to dynasty.

Starting Lineups

Here is our new starting lineup format. We still decided to stick with full PPR, but in order to make TE's not useless we changed the TE position to have 1.5 PPR:
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
Flex
Flex
WR/TE
Super Flex
K

DEEP Benches and HUGE Draft

We decided to have huge benches for our dynasty league too. This is a drastic change from what we usually did (only 4 bench spots). This has made our draft super long this year. We have dedicated ourselves to 24 rounds of draft this year. Because the draft is so long, we have decided to do essentially a week long draft. Each player has 4 hours to draft a player with a break at night. As the we get closer and closer to the first Thursday Night Football game, we speed up the draft clock.

Updates To Follow

As the league continues I will update people on how this all shakes out. As I am writing this, the first pick has been selected with Jamar Chase. My plan is to provide weekly updates as the season rolls on, but as you know life has gotten in the way lately. The next blog will more than likely be a draft recap and I will rate everyone's teams. Stay tuned.
