Fantasy Football Sleepers No One Is Talking About
Every year, there are multiple fantasy sleepers that I catch that no one is talked about before the season. Off the top of my head, I called Bo Nix, Ladd McConkey, and Tyrone Tracy to name a few. My strategy is actually pretty easy, but for some reason no one does it. Every year their is certain starters that everyone just forgets about because of things the starter can't control. For example, a workhorse RB with a bad offensive line or a a WR with uncertainty in the QB department. Everyone always looks past these people because it may not look like good football on TV, but they still put up points. Here is my list of fantasy football sleepers that no one is talking about so far.
Quarterbacks
Bo Nix
Nix is on my list yet again. People watch his games because he can struggle during games, but the not in fantasy. His rushing upside brings in the points.
Brock Purdy
A lot of 49ers WRs and RBs put up points. The person who throws the ball to CMC has to get some points too.
Kyler Murray
His rushing upside brings in a lot of points. You could make the argument people only think he's good because of the fantasy points he brings in.
Justin Fields
Another great fantasy option that doesn't look as good on the field. Rushing QBs always bring in points no matter how good they really are.
Drake Maye
Maye quietly had a great season last year and no one noticed. He should be even better this season with a better WR room.
Running Backs
RJ Harvey / Quinshon Judkins / TreVeyon Henderson
These three guys are all being overlooked for the same reason. They are rookies. This happened to Tyrone Tracy but look at what happened with him. They may start out in a committee for their perspective teams but they will all be workhorses by the end of the season.
D'Andre Swift
People are overlooking Swift because he's on the Bears. The Bears should be pretty good this year on offense. It may not look pretty, but Swift should be a pretty consistent option.
Kaleb Johnson
Johnson is different than other rookies this year in the draft. Johnson in Pittsburgh doesn't have much competition around him in the RB room. I also think people are forgetting that Rodgers is their QB and he's a handoff merchant in his old age.
Tyrone Tracy
People are forgetting about Tracy because people are looking at his entire season and not just the last 6 games in the season. Tracy didn't become the starter until later in the season, but when he become the starter he blew up when it comes to fantasy points. I expect a big season from him this year.
Travis Etienne
People are sleeping on Etienne because he had a bad year last year while playing through injuries. He should be back to his normal point production this year.
Wide Receivers
Rashee Rice
Rice would have been a top 10 WR last year if he didn't get injured last year. I expect him to be one of the top WRs this year.
Travis Hunter
Hunter should be good because the Jags should be force feeding him the ball this year. They traded a lot of capital for him so they should throw him into the fire immediately.
Jerry Jeudy
Jeudy is one of the few good WRs in the receiver room this year. People are overlooking him because of the QB room situation on the Browns. No matter what QB is starting, Jeudy should be getting the ball on any given day.
Jauan Jennings
Jennings has secretly been moved up to WR 1 on the depth chart this entire offseason and no one noticed. He had some good numbers towards the end of last season and he should continue it this season.
Jayden Reed
Reed is the WR 1 on the Packers and has an insanely low ADP this year. It may be because he was a little inconsistent last year, but the offense is better this year so that should fix his inconsistently.
Khalil Shakir
This might be the most absurd one on the list. The WR 1 on the Bills is this far down in the draft this year. An absolute steal this year. This might even be the Bills year this year.
Stefon Diggs
Diggs has his fair share of issues, but Diggs being this low is nuts. Drake Maye was pretty good last year without a true WR 1, he now has the receiver with that experience that should takeover the receiver room this year.
Tight Ends
Dallas Goedert
Goedert was underrated last year. The only issue was he had a season full of injuries. If he can stay healthy, he should be a steal at where he's being drafted.
Evan Engram
Most Jags players had a down year for many different reasons. I expect Engram to be back to his normal self this year.
Kyle Pitts
I threw Pitts in here because of how low he's being drafted. He is being drafted as a backup TE basically. At some point he has to start producing past his ADP. Right?
