STL Now Has An NFL Team To Root For
People from St. Louis has been yearning for an NFL team to cheer for each season. Being from St. Louis, I have deep roots with this issue. Most people in STL don't really have a specific team they cheer for, they just cheer for specific players that are on their fantasy football teams. True football fans in STL also refuse to root for the Chiefs, as they were one of the driving forces that pushed the Rams out. Any fan of the Chiefs that are from St. Louis are fake football fans who can't name the QB that started before Mahomes (that guy is a very underrated QB by the way).
Fear not football fans in STL. We now have a team to go all in on. For those for those of you that have elite ball knowledge I'm sure you already know what team this is.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and their General Manger James Gladstone
For those of you that are not aware, the Jacksonville Jaguars are currently being built by one of the youngest GMs in the NFL and he's from the greatest city on earth. Gladstone is from St. Louis and was even a high school football coach. Fun fact: He was actually my "freshman leadership" teacher in high school.
Gladstone was the senior assistant to the GM for the Rams when they were in St. Louis and as they moved away to LA he stayed with the team and worked his way up to Director of Scouting Strategy. He played a pivotal role in assembling the Rams Super Bowl winning team. When Gladstone was with the Rams, there was a decent amount of St. Louis players on those teams and I like to think that's because of him.
Gladstone is now the GM of the Jags and he has already made a big splash in his move to acquire Travis Hunter. This team is being constructed all by one of the brightest minds in football, and he's from St. Louis. I would be a St. Louis crime to not cheer for this team. I already got my 3 year old kid saying "Duvaaaalll"
