Fantasy Football Is Getting Too Hard (We Have A RB Issue)
I have loved fantasy football for many years. I am a two time champion in my main league and consistently stay competitive. As I am doing my mock drafts this year (full PPR), I have noticed a sad issue this year. Fantasy is getting increasingly harder because RBs just don't seem to matter anymore.
Too many teams are using a multiple RB committee in today's football. Sure, it's great for teams and is proven to benefit them on the field as well as keeping more players healthy, but we need to talk about what really matters, the fantasy football players.
The RB committee issue continues to grow each year and this year it's even worse than ever. According to my calculations, there is only about 8 teams that aren't using a RB committee and that's just based on the depth chart and their usage last year. Here are the names I came up with for you fantasy football sickos like me:
Saquon
Bijan
Jeanty
CMC
Josh Jacobs
Kyren Williams
James Cook
I miss the good days of fantasy football. Back in my day, you would draft most RBs first, now in PPR leagues you mainly draft receivers first. I absolutely HATE drafting receivers early. It's either boom or bust with that week to week and I can't stand that. The way to win in fantasy will always be finding players that will have consistent points week to week. The players that don't always necessarily put up the most points each week but put up consistent points will always be the best option.
That's the issue with fantasy football this year especially. I am expected a down year when it comes to fantasy football. Along with the RB committee issue, a lot of the main WRs have inconsistent QBs and won't be consistent this year. Either way, I can guarantee you that the winner of your fantasy league will have a RB that isn't in a committee. Trust me. I'm an expert.
